Adobe, has this been discovered as a know issue and will it be fixed or am I nearing the end of my hardware's life? (I can provide all hardware specs if necessary. Drop Shadows are not directional, meaning, the effect applies to all sides of an object and can only be shifted, not selectively turned off for each side.Does anyone know how to fix it? (I am going back to CC 2018 to finish the project but would like to take advantage of updates in the future.).Is anyone else experiencing this? (Specifically with a different video card.).To scale relative to a different reference point, click where you want the reference point to be in the document window, move the pointer away from the reference point, and then drag until the object is the desired size. The scene is set up with 5 3d layers (4 text, 1 logo animation precomp), stack up above a white 3d floor layer. The Perspective folder in the Effects & Presets menu contains the Drop Shadow effect, and the only thing you have to do to access it is to type its name in the. ![]() It also causes my computer to crash periodically when I try to preview the problem areas. The fastest way to set the shadows angle and distance is to simply click inside the document, keep your mouse button held down, and drag the shadow to position. Moving each layer along the Z plane to offset them seemed to help a little bit but when I checked, this is not an issue in CC 2018 so I'm wondering why now. If you want to spice up your boring title animation, you can use this overlapping. There seems to be grainy noise when I have more than one layer casting shadows on my floor layer. Here is another nice text effect tutorial for After Effect from Videolancer. After updating to After Effects CC 2019, I noticed issues with my shadows as well as performance.
